Logansport FFA members Christian Roberts and Nick Ramsey competed in the annual Panola Junior College Welding Contest held Thursday, 2/9, in Carthage, Texas. Christian finished in 1st place with a score of 186, and Nick placed 4th with a score of 182 out of a possible 200 points.

 On January 18th,  Logansport FFA member Ronni competed in the Area II Public Speaking Contest held at Florien High School. She placed first in the extemporaneous portion of the contest and qualified for the State Competition to be held in  Monroe, Louisiana. Congratulations Ronni!

Sci-Port DeSoto Days

First Saturday of every month, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Made possible by the DeSoto Parish Police Jury

Residents of DeSoto Parish will have free admission to Sci-Port: Louisiana's Science Center’s permanent exhibit galleries on the first Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Visitors must show proof of residency in DeSoto Parish to receive free admission. Admission to Sci-Port includes access to over 290 hands-on exhibits, daily interactive programs and demonstrations, and the Dayna and Ronald L. Sawyer Space Dome Planetarium. Access to Sci-Port’s current traveling exhibit may incur a small upcharge, which typically applies to all general visitors.
